Much of this performance stems from Epson’s micro-droplet printhead design, which provides fine droplet control and consistent placement across long runs. In practical terms, this means smoother gradients, sharper text, and fewer color shifts across rolls, even in high-volume settings. That said, printhead performance can be sensitive to environmental conditions—particularly humidity and temperature—so shops may need to maintain stable climate control to maximize consistency and prevent maintenance issues.

The Epson SureColor R5070 can print banners up to approximately 64 inches wide (maximum printable width is about 63.6 inches). The banner length can be much longer depending on the roll media being used, making it suitable for oversized banners, trade show graphics, storefront signage, and large promotional displays.

Epson’s resin inks have an advanced ink chemistry. Eco-friendly and odourless, the water-based resin ink can be used on coated and uncoated substrates. Its quick-drying properties allow for instant lamination and has a high scratch resistance. The introduction of resin ink improves the performance of both typical and high-value print signage applications and results in a superior print quality.
